I knew it, ha-ha! My prediction was that before exam week or during it, which is in a week and a half, there will be snow of some sort: tiny, fluffy, any kind. The frost is only evidence to my theory that seems to be coming true. That's not good, but hey Finland has never seized to amaze me with the radical weather changes, so maybe it's going to be 20°C and sunny? Yup, sounds completely accurate in a country where winter is the dominant season. Winter is pretty nice though, the snow is gorgeous and it's nice to get to use warm, fluffy hats and mittens :) My birthday is in Februrary too, so that's a bonus. Let's not forget that winter equals warm food, so I get to utilize my baking skills even more! Chocolate-chip cookies, cheesecake, brownies, gingerbread cookies, etc. Oh yeah!

Yesterday, I failed in life miserably. Usually I take the R or H train home to Tikkurila, because they're the fast ones that only take me around 14 minutes. So I walk to Helsinki Central Train Station, and upon arriving there I spot a train similar to the one I usually take, also having the same destination. It didn't have a letter on it, but a huge amount of people were going in so I assumed that it must stop at Tikkurila, where many live. So I get in all oblivious, listening to music and texting a friend. At one point when I take off my earphones to listen to the announcement about the stops, I realize they skipped my stop and instead said "Kyrölä". I squinch my face, and when I realize that the train didn't slow down near Tikkurila, all I could think about it "Shitshitshit, this is NOT happening to me!" So of course, the train zooms past my stop like a bullet, and the next stop Kyrölä is about 20 minutes away from mine. All I could see from the window was trees, trees, trees, and oh did I mention trees? Getting off, I see no people, nearly no houses, and a huuuuuge piece of grass and land. I am literally in the middle of nowhere. Luckily a fast train back the other way came quick, but hell I am neverever taking a unanimous train anymore. That's enough adventure for awhile.

The view from Kyrölä Train Station (which was deserted and creepy btw) |
